Veterans in Construction
We created a Veterans Program specifically for Veterans in construction, providing them with
educational resources in safety at no cost. President, Marjorie Del Toro's son is serving in the US
Marine Corp. and VP of Environmental Affairs, Rogelio Horta's son is serving in the US Army. Our
philosophy is "You defended our country at all costs, the least we can do is get you trained at no cost."
AGC-CA Construction Education Foundation (CEF) Virtual Construction Career Fair (VCCF)
We participate in the annual AGC-CA CEF VCCF offering paid internships to young professionals
and free training/job opportunities to our Veterans.
The VCCF offers a convenient innovative online platform to a target audience of construction
companies who are looking to hire and grow their workforce. Our primary focus is introducing the
incoming young professionals and Veterans to a safety career in construction.

Going Back To Her Roots
Marjorie, raised in a low income area, returns to her roots by attending career days introducing a career in
construction, membership in AGC-CA and discussing the possibilities in entrepreneurship and leadership.
Here she is speaking at her High School Alma Mater, South Gate High.
With the help of our partner ABATIX, ehsInc donated personal protected equipment (PPE) to the California Department of Public Health who gave safety tours for young professionals.
We also donated PPE for approx. 100 students for the 2016 AGC-CA Annual Conference.
