Virtual Training Hardware Requirements
You must use a web-enabled device with webcam, speakers, and an internet connection. For best learning experience, we encourage the use of a desktop/laptop computer.
Microphones are optional but recommended. There is a chat menu for those without microphones.
We do not recommend using a smartphone, however have yours handy. It will be used as a training aid.
Webcams are also recommended. You can temporarily disable your webcam at any time (breaks, short exits, etc).
For your own privacy, you have the option to add a webcam virtual background image.
All persons who install, maintain or just work near energized electrical parts require safety training.
This course meets OSHA training requirements under 29 CFR 1910.332 for safety related work practices.
This course combines lecture, presentation, and videos. We also cover the latest changes to the NFPA 70E Standard.
Electrical Safety Related Work Practices; Recognizing Electrical Hazards; How OSHA and NFPA 70E requirements affect your facility and personnel; Reducing Electrical Hazards; Protection from Arc Flash and Arc Blasts; Choosing the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); Approach Boundaries; Flash Boundaries; Limits of Approach; Hazard/Risk Category Classifications; Arc Flash Analysis; Control of Hazardous Energy; Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Procedures; Energized Work Permits; Voltage Detection & Meter Safety; Emergency Procedures; Job Briefing; Voltage Rated Tools; Qualified and Unqualified Persons; Safety-Related Maintenance Requirements; Minimizing Arc Flash Hazards; and Significant changes to the new NFPA 70E.
Upon completion of this course, students receive a Certificate of Completion and E-Student Card via our online training management system.
