This Crime and Trauma Scene Remediation course deals with biohazard abatement for employees of crime scene cleaning services. This course prepares individuals to become crime scene cleanup technicians who decontaminate and remove any blood, tissue or bodily fluids from a crime scene, as well as any fingerprint dust or tear gas used during the police response.
This course combines lecture with state of the art virtual reality walk-throughs and hands-on practical exercises.
Agenda: Technicians are trained in proper etiquette; Remediation techniques, (Containment and Engineering Controls); Biological Safety (PPE and Cross Contamination and disinfection.); Bloodborne Pathogens; Construction Topics (Mandated/Elective) via OSHA 10-Hour Program; Medical Waste Disposal; Must pass a 100 point proctored CBRT exam with a score of 75 or better.
Students will receive: Student manuals, CBRT and OSHA 10-Hour Certification, Student Safety Verification Card, OSHA Card.
